Women’s Health

WOMEN’S HEALTH CARE (GYNOCOLOGY SERVICES)
At Women’s Health Consultants, we provide supportive and individualized healthcare for each woman. Our team of clinicians and surgeons specialize in the often puzzling aspects of women’s health and we are dedicated to practicing excellence in women’s care. We believe in solving the puzzle engaging each patient to provide education and information, as well as healthcare in a friendly, intimate environment. If a woman becomes pregnant, we will refer her to an OB doctor to ensure she is well taken care of.

Gynecologic Care –
Regular gynecologic care is a key ingredient for a lifetime of good health. Our gynecologic services include:
•Annual exams
•Pap smears to pick up pre-cancerous lesions, HPV, infections
•Breast examination, following mammograms, and guiding women for more complex problems where further diagnosis is required.
•Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, excessive cramping, or need for surgical evaluation or treatment
•Evaluation and treatment for pelvic or vaginal infections
•Helping find the best birth control method for each individual
•Evaluating and managing various forms of pain, such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine tumors, and scar tissue
•Provide aid for urinary issues, such as infection, urinary incontinence, or bladder prolapsed.
•Guiding a couple through the early stages of an infertility work up
•Additionally we address other issues that correspond to regular gynecologic care, such as nutrition, exercise, weight loss and any concerns that the patient wishes to focus on.

Gynecologic Surgery –
Our surgical procedures are designed to be as minimally invasive as possible. We want you to get the care you need with minimal pain and recovery time. Our medical office is equipped to perform in-office procedures, while outpatient and inpatient surgeries requiring hospitalization are typically done at Sky Ridge Medical Center in nearby Lone Tree, Colorado.
Wellness Services – Gynecologic health requires regular care. Our comprehensive physical exams cover every aspect of feminine health including breast health, weight issues, contraception, reproductive health and hormonal changes. Our goal is to put the pieces that have been puzzling you together to make you vibrant, healthy and happy for the entirety of your life!

What To Expect At Your First Visit

The first step in designing a wellness plan and prescribing hormone therapy is to have your blood drawn. Time is devoted to establishing measurements on a number of indicators of biological aging through blood tests. This is important for two reasons:
• We believe it is essential to fully understand your state of health, prior to embarking on any hormone-modulating program.
• By establishing a baseline, we are able to track your progress objectively.

The blood tests present a remarkably complete picture of your current state of health and vitality, whether you are in perimenopause, menopause, or post menopause. Once we have this complete picture, you will have an appointment with the doctor to discuss goals and design a wellness plan that is unique to your needs. At Women’s Health Consultants, we treat every patient as an individual. Whatever your personal menopausal profile, you can be sure that your hormone modulation program will be a plan designed specifically for you. Bioidentical hormones will be prescribed in appropriate doses, along with guidance in nutrition and exercise, as those elements work together in supporting your vibrancy and energy in mid-life. For the first 6 months, we will recheck your blood levels as many times as needed until consistent levels are established that work well for you.

Make an appointment by calling Women’s Health Consultants at 303.730.2229 and let us help you complete the picture to healthy living.
